Mayor Bloomberg, Police Commissioner Kelly and Commissioner Burney Break Ground on New 121st Police Precinct on Staten Island
Mayor Bloomberg, Police Commissioner Kelly and Department of Design and Construction Commissioner Burney today broke ground on the new 121st Police Precinct Station House in the Graniteville section of Staten Island. The station house, a $63.6 million facility, is the first new precinct on Staten Island since 1962. Major felony crime on Staten Island has fallen 28 percent over the past eight years.

Klein today urged parents to read, complete, and return the consent forms being sent home starting this week that allow children to take advantage of the free H1N1 flu vaccinations being offered in schools this fall.

Mayor Bloomberg Announces Plans to Support Major New Investments in Primary Health Care for Staten Island
Mayor Bloomberg today announced New York City's commitment for two major new projects which will bring enhanced and expanded primary and women's healthcare services to Staten Island. The City's plan and the hospital projects will be presented formally to the Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) in the coming months for underwriting review and further project development assistance, at which time the projects would become eligible for low-cost financing.

Mayor Bloomberg Presents FY 2010 Preliminary Budget
Mayor Bloomberg today presented a Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 Preliminary Budget and an updated four-year financial plan. The Mayor outlined a plan to close a $4 billion deficit for FY 2010 through nearly $1 billion in new agency gap closing actions, keeping controllable expenses virtually flat as well as revenue enhancements, including possible sales tax increases and long-term cost containment measures such as pension reform and efforts to reign in employee health care costs.

Mayor Bloomberg Releases 2005 Campaign Accountability Report
Mayor Bloomberg today released his third Campaign Accountability Report, showing that nearly a year and a half after Election Day 2005, 96% of the 100 campaign promises the Mayor made during the 2005 campaign have either been fully implemented or are currently being implemented.
